Life In A Tank

A ticker-tape parade runs water through the streets,
while the caged watch from within.
Blank society built with a new dimension,
the boundaries sharper than in-tact glass.
Freedom sings to those who listen,
but our environment took away our ears.

Our 'houses' don't shelter us from the rising air,
that presents like sweet-tasting cyanide.
Floating suspension grieves like the loss of blood,
to be born free is to know defeat.
The cruel outside is every-mans-land,
but no place for one rejected.

Kept in by the what cries for escape,
where we should be,
where life is a gamble.
Safety f***ing sucks and I want to run away,
from something worthwhile.

Escape is an anti-climax,
where the grass is drowned and hope is soluble.
